Christmas Day 2010

After all of the excitement from Santa, we headed down to Provo to see Dale's family. His mom had fixed an amazing Christmas dinner- ham, yummy carrots, yummy potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, cooked pineapple, and a couple different desserts. It was great. Tannith, Stu, Tresca and her boyfriend and children, were all there. The kids had a great time. We gave Milo a train. At dinner I said, "Milo, we have a present for you." He automatically says, "I like trains!" Good thing that is what is what!! We all relaxed, played XBox, then opened presents. They got spoiled like always from Grandma and Granddad- this year they got a lot of toys from Discovery Toys. They are all educational toys and really the cutest things in the world. They were all super excited. They also got new jammies, which is the best!!!! We had bathes and got in the new jammies, and then headed for home after a wonderful day spent with the Jakins' family. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Santa Brought Us What?!!!!

After the kids opened presents, we put together a lot of the toys and put in batteries so everything was working top notch. My parents came to see what they got, and we were in the front room. Ady noticed the tree in the front room had some presents underneath it. So we got them out- one for each of the kids. They sat on the couch and opened them. Inside Ady's was Minnie Mouse; inside Clay's was Mickey Mouse; inside Brayden's was Pluto. Around each of their necks was a ticket that said, "Good for one free trip to Disneyland" and another that said "Good for 1 roundtrip airfare from Salt Lake City to Disneyland." Ady read it, read it again, and I said, "What?! Santa is taking us to Disneyland?!!!!" and the kids understood- WE ARE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!! I think they were in a bit of a shock, and it was so cute! They were jumping up and down. Clayson couldn't stop hugging Mickey.... it was the best Christmas present ever!

Christmas Morning 2010

We apparently wore the kids out Christmas Eve, because the kids didn't wake up until 8:00! How wonderful to sleep in! Our little tradition goes like this- the kids come in our room, Dale goes down and turns on the fire and sees if Santa has come, then we line up to go down the stairs. (Growing up we did the same thing!) The kids ran down the stairs and screamed, "Santa came!!" They went for the stocking first, which were in front of the fire place. They were filled with socks, toothbrushes and underwear! Then they started around the tree.

We have to help organize them a little, like start with the little presents first, and then they opened then youngest to oldest. Brayden was super chill opening his presents. He would look at them for a litlte bit and enjoy them. Clayson would rip it open, and squeal with delight. Ady would rip it open and shout for joy. It was so exciting watching them open presents this year.

They were so excited and so cute about it. The big squeals from Brayden- The Iron Man, the remote control car, and the scooter. The big squeals from Clayson- The Iron Man, the remote control robot, rocket ship and the new bike! The big squeals from Ady- Ken doll, Princess Tiana, Moxie Twins, her look-alike American Girl Doll Juliet, and the new bike! After awhile, the chaos begun, and the boys were opening faster than Ady, so she had some left. Clayson was sad because he thought he got less presents, whcn really he was just rippin' and grabbin' more! I think it was a success. One of my favorite- a moon night light that changes and shows the phases of the moon. It goes perfectly in the boys' room!

My parents also made an early stop to see what the kids got. They were so excited to show Grandpa and Grandma everything Santa brought!
