The House Progress...

Not ours! My parents are doing a huge addition to their house, and waited until we were soon to be out of here. So here are some pics of the progress-

This is getting the sprinklers moved so the hole could be dug.

Ady and Clayson enjoyed getting water for everyone. It was so cute and thoughtful. Clay got them out of the fridge, searched for bucket, and then he and Ady took them to everyone.

The next thing to do was take apart the deck. This is Dale, my bro-in-law Roger, and my bro Blake doing that good stuff.

On Wednesday the tractor came and boy were the kids in heaven. Here is Brayden watching the tractor through the dining room window. Eventually that will be knocked out and extended out. This really was fun to watch!

Here's the big truck that took the dirt to dump. Clayson was just as tall as the tire.

On Thursday we ran into a little snafoo- there was water building up in the hole. So that's were we are- deciding what to do with this water!

Saving Money

Okay, so I am all about saving money, and heard of the website, www.grocerysmarts.com. Yow need a code: g84csg to use the website, but they do the shopping for you and tell you where the deals are. I am scheduling a free class for anyone that wants to come (it's the first week of August in our new house!), I will update. Anyway, I tried it out today and got $39 saving from Albertson's and another $16 with coupons. I ended up spending $40. So not bad, but not terrific either. Hopefully after the class I will do better. For anyone that has great ideas, let me know!

Our Fun Day at Lagoon

The greatest thing as a child is riding on rides. I don't know why, but I remember enjoying Lagoon so much. Of course, I'd pick Disney any day, but I loved to go to Lagoon. My kids adored it! We had our cousin Kylee with us, and Kayla, Brandon, and Cole, and Grandma and Grandpa. We just watched the kids ride the rides. We put Clayson the helicopters and he thought it was the best thing on earth. He just rode it grinning the whole time. Then we put them on the boats and they enjoyed it. I think Brayden "super enjoyed" it! Then it was time for the cool planes- I thought Brayden would love it because he was playing with the "driving stick." As soon as it took off his eyes went wide and he was screaming! I wish I could have gotten a better picture, but they were blurry! It was so funny! I took the kids on Puff the Magic Dragon, since that's my favorite ride as a kid. Again, they were so thrilled! Then the big kids got to enjoy just the white (or brown- they are letting the paint deteriorate...) rollercoaster. Funny thing- we'd bought just individual tickets for the kids to ride their rides, but no one took them, so we used them for the roller coaster. We went for Stake Lagoon Day and got in free. Pretty fun night! We topped it off with a strawberry funnel cake- super exciting (and no, it was not very good :)

Hey Fellow Mickey Mouse Fans

Did you grow up watching the Mickey Mouse club? I did! Remember Mowava Pryor? She works at Sams Club in Murray, UT now. Cool huh?

Our Great 4th of July

We started out our fun week at Grandad and Grandma's house. Grandma had redone the kids' room full of adorable animals. She decorated it so cute- she put burlap on the walls and lined it with rope. It was adorable- I don't know why I didn't take a picture! She had bought the kids this cute pool that they swam in forever! That was Wednesday and Thursday.

Friday was the Provo Freedom Days- it was so crazy! They said around 300,000 people were there to celebrate. The streets are lined with people, and cars are parked four across, so to get out you are depending that everyone is going to come back to their cars and move them... it was so crazy!
The kids loved the parade! It wasn't too hot- it was mostly overcast, so we got to really enjoy the parade. Clayson loved the cute Curious George balloon! Ady loved the princesses. Brayden was fascinated just the whole parade!

Our little cousin Milo, Tresca's baby, came to join us at the parade. We laugh that he belongs to me with all of his little red hair.

Then that night we went up to our friend's the Mickelsen's mom's house for her "Cul-de-sac of Fire." Everyone brings their own meat and we enjoy food and fireworks. It was really a lot of fun- our friends the Egberts were also there and we just enjoyed an AWESOME 4th of July!!

What every man needs in his car

Every man (and woman) needs a bottle of clear nail polish in his / her car. This morning on the freeway, I heard this loud crack!! (how many times has that happened to you?) Sure enough, I was driving a few lanes over but behind one of those stupid construction trucks that spit a rock at me. Sure enough there was a big chip and a spider leg fracture on my windshield. So I pulled off at the next exit and bought some clear nail polish at Smiths. I painted it over the chip and even the spider leg fractures and it sealed them right up. I don't know where my sweet wife found out about this trick, but it's healed a few chips on my windshields over the years.
