Clayson loves his hair buzzed. He's been asking for a couple of days to get his hair cut. Brayden on the other hand, not a fan. You would think after his frequent haircuts he would appreciate them. His hair grows faster than a weed, and we just can't keep up with it. In fact, I went grocery shopping today, and at two different store I had comments about how I have a light haired and dark haired child, and one in between, and the dark one doesn't look like he belongs to me! Weird- I rarely get comments about that, but Brayden's hair is a very common topic of interest.
When Dale got home last night, Clay was ready to buzz. Brayden on the other hand, no so much. He looked terrified, but we got 'im done. Are we sure this is the same little guy?

If you are not sick of it....
Alright, for those of you that know me, I'm a big dancer, or once was. Michael Jackson was seriously my icon growing up. I remember sitting with my friends and watching his videos and trying to copy his dance moves. We danced to his music and copied moves of his all of the time on drill. It was just awesome. Ya, a bit crazy as a person, but you can't deny he had talent. When we went to Disneyland with my family clear back in '93 (I was 13 at the time) I remember watching "Captian EO" in 3-d. I thought it was amazing! So I found it on youtube, I know, I'm a dork, but enjoy!!

HAFB Air Show 2009

In any case, we finally made it to an Airshow!!!!! and it was AWESOOOOOOME! We got up so early on Saturday morning and went with our favorite neighbors. We got on the UTA at the Clearfield Frontrunner station which dropped you off right on base at the gate to the tarmac, which is why we were front and center to the show! I was holding Brocky, who is the happiest child I have ever met. As I was getting on the bus the entire bus was smiling at me!! Finally a guy towards the end of the bus stopped me and said, "sir, I just want to tell you your little boy is sooo adorable, he's just smiling so big at everyone". Of course I felt so proud and happy but then immediately felt so guilty that I was holding Brock and Scott and Karen weren't. He is ALWAYS smiling!
The airshow coincided with the 65th anniversary of the D-Day invasion which ulitmately led to the German defeat in WWII. As a symbolic rememberance, for the opening ceremonies, some jumpers parachuted down with the Flag for the National Anthem. It was so amazing. Phew, good thing I was wearing my sunglasses so noone could see me bawling.
The stunt planes were awesome, but nothing could match the F-16s especially going from 5000-15000 feet in 3 seconds. The F-16 Thunderbirds were so amazing! We see F-16s everday, so it's a wonder why we went with 400,000 people to see something we see so often, but it was still fun. We got to tour the C-5 and go in the cockpit as well as the KC-130's. I absolutely love our military, they're so cool.

SOOOO Behind....
We haven't blogged forever! Life has been completely and utterly crazy right now! Most importantly, Dale got a job! He's been there about 3 weeks right now. It was kind of crazy. He had a phone interview on a Wednesday, an in-person interview Thursday, and another one on Friday. He then got home and ran to Domino's. I get a phone call at 6:30, and he says, in a sad voice, "I heard from WJ Bradley...." and for some reason, I just couldn't believe the sad voice. "I got the job!!!" We both cried and I was just so grateful. It honestly felt like I had been pushed under water and I could actually come up and breath! That pressure I didn't even realize the extent to which we were feeling was being relieved! It honestly felt too good to be true!
Since we moved into our house last year, we have been telling the kids we could get a swing set. We looked last Fall, but they were out, so we were waiting until Spring.
So that had been the coined phrase around the house, "When dad gets a job.... we'll get a swingset."So I took the kids to Toys-R-Us that night and found a swing set- the kids were adorable!
We were even able to fit it into the van over the seats! The next morning we put it together!!!
