Cabining with the Ellises and the Moose Family

What would we do without our Dear Friends the Ellises? Our kids get along so well and we were invited for a fun weekend up at the Cabin with them.

While we were up there and sitting in the hot tub, we heard rustling in the trees in the back-yard, which is a bit unnerving when you're in the wild. Scott pulled out the high powered flash light and there was a huge Bull Moose there!!!!.

After we got out of the hot tub and were hanging out, Karen saw something black flash through the window, sure enough it was a raccoon scavenging for food.

In the morning, because of all the apples Scott had thrown down for the Moose, there was a deer family there chomping away. Later that morning we saw the Momma and Calf Moose as well. We just about expected to see a cougar and a bear after the parade of exciting wildlife right in front of our view.

It was so fun to relax, watch the kids play lots of games and have a bit of a mishap with the hot-tub leaking, but over all, what an exciting adventure with the Ellises!! We sure do love you Ellis family!!
