Ady's brought home a little flyer from school that said, "Free hayride and pumpkins at J &J's nursery." We could only go on October 13th. We thought it sounded fun. Stef's family came with us. Well, it was sure busy! I guess when you tell anyone it's free, it's going to take a little bit of time! Two hours of waiting in line, we were ready to jump on the bed behind the tractor full of haybales that are smooched to the ground. But it was sure fun!
It wasn't too cold, although we had dressed for the occasion. We took a bumpy and muddy ride out to the pumpkin patch, and they dropped us off. We were ready to pick the pumpkins- one per person! We found the BEST pumpkins in the field.
The boys- Roger and Dale- kept saying, "let's just pick these and go stand in line so we can get back!" (because there was quite a line to return also....) but Stef and I forced them to enjoy, and it was really fun.
After we were all ready, we found the line, and rode the hayride back. The men went to Arctic Circle to get food. Although they forgot the flashlights, and sweet potato fries, it sure tasted good after waiting so long for our fun! We have fun with the cousins!
